Craft Night!!

I am a big crafter, as most of you know. But I get very lonely at home with my four kids and crafting alone. So here is my solution to this big problem. Craft night! I have tried it before but it has never gone over very well, but you can't kill a girl for trying. SO, here is what I am going to do:

Feb. 25th (Saturday), 2012
Location: Unknown (depends on who is coming, will be announced 4 weeks prior)
Time: 1pm (ish)
Craft: Unknown (Will be announced 4 weeks prior)

I am just putting out a feeler for who is interested and will make more concrete plans if I get some commitments from people. Just know it will be fun, inexpensive and you can bring your kids. I will have mine. (most of them)

If there is anything you want to learn (knitting, crochet, sewing, paper craft, scrapping, card making, etc...) Let me know and I will make it happen.

I always have crafts going and would love to share it with you!!

SO, mark your calender and leave a comment of "YES, I will be there!!" (if you will bring your kids please let me know how many and how old so I can have activities and snacks available)

Don't forget your friends, they love to craft too, they just don't know it yet!

And how could you say "No" to that face? You can't! I have tried...a lot.

Hats! Hats! Hats!

For those of you who haven't heard: I have opened an Etsy Shop @ www.etsy.com/shop/micheleh04 and it has been great so far. I have sold a few items and have had so many more custom orders that I haven't had a chance to make any more things for my shop. So I decided to share them with you here.

These lovely hats are modeled by my mother and made for my sis-in-law in Boston. They are made out of Lams Pride 100% wool. I just love the vibrant colors, don't you. This yarn is a little pricy but it is soft and so pretty.
This cute little number is for a child. It is a mix of pink, brown and orange. It doesn't sound like it would work but it does, and the flower is just a cute little extra, though I think it works well with out it.
This one has the same yarn as the one before but it has a brim and a cute little purple flower. Like the one before it works great with or with out the flower. It is also for a child from 5 to 12 years of age.
This one has to be my favorite. It is a beanie made with chunky pink yarn, specked with purple. I added a great purple flower that takes up a good chunk of the hat. It is soft, warm and is too cute! I may have to make one for my self. This one was also for a child. The yarn is on the more pricy side. Though it only takes a single skein for a child's hat, an adult would take two to three, but well worth it.
This is also for a kid. It is fuzzy and pink! What more could a little girl want? The large pink button in the middle of the flower is just the cherry on the sundae, in my opinion.
Again, for a kid. This yarn is chunky and has two different blues. I am loving the two buttons...a flower just didn't work here and yet with the brim it is great for a girl...with or with out the buttons.
This is my second fav of these six kids hats. The little girl who is getting this is in to black and red. Thanks to my mom I found some chunky yarn with sequins in it which is just the tip of the ice burg when going for black. (personally I think that all black hats kinda look funny, but more power too you if you like it) For the black I used extremely thin and sparkly yarn that I had to triple just to make it the right thickness. Adding a bow on the side just made it to die for.

All of these hats were custom orders but I would be more than happy to recreate or even customize any of them for you. I can make any size, any color and any embellishment you like. As a general rule my prices are as follows: Infant/Toddler(0mo to 3yrs) - $15, Child(4yrs to 13yrs) - $20, Teen/Adult(14yrs & up) -$25. Though if you want a special yarn or extra embellishments that could effect the price. Please allow a week for the making of any order under 3 hats. (I have 4 kids and twin babies.) Any questions go to my etsy site and contact me, or if you have my phone number Call, my email works too.

I also am up for custom orders for the bags on my site as well and I have yet to come across an order that I couldn't fill. I am always looking for great new projects as well. Be it sewing, crochet, knit, paper crafting, I am always up for the challenge. I love this stuff and I love to share it with all of you.

Where has the Time gone?

Where has the time gone? It has been a long time since I could actualy reach my computer. Twins have that effect on you. The belly is the biggest opstical and now that it is gone, I only have to find the time to sit down with the computer. So here we go I will be trying this whole blog thing again. I believe it will be easier with out all the extra hormones clowding my judgment...we hope.
